CREA

The Literacy Resource and Expertise Center (CREA) is an innovative initiative developed with technical support from UNESCO, aimed at strengthening the fight against illiteracy through a collaborative, digital, and inclusive approach. This international project provides tools, knowledge, and practical solutions to enhance access to basic education across diverse contexts.

Central to CREA is a collaborative virtual platform, serving as a hub for learning, knowledge sharing, and networking. This platform offers tailored training modules and programs designed to meet the needs of target populations and is accessible to all stakeholders involved in literacy efforts, including trainers, institutions, learners, and researchers.

CREA pursues two essential objectives. First, it aims to capitalize on existing literacy efforts by promoting the use of resources, tools, and best practices that have already been developed. Second, it seeks to make available to all stakeholders the content and expertise currently accessible or in development, thereby enhancing the effectiveness of literacy initiatives on the ground.

Additionally, CREA contributes to strengthening institutional capacities by supporting educational organizations in the design, adaptation, and implementation of literacy programs that adhere to recognized educational standards.
